RideSenior Updates New Pricing Structure to Make Senior Transportation More Accessible, Effective April 25, 2026

RideSenior is pleased to introduce a newly updated pricing structure aimed at making senior transportation services more accessible, transparent, and affordable for families and individuals across our service areas. This new pricing model will officially take effect on April 25, 2026, and will apply to all eligible bookings moving forward.

The purpose of this pricing update is clear: to reduce financial barriers and help more seniors easily access safe, reliable transportation services. RideSenior understands that many families rely on consistent transportation for medical appointments, hospital visits, rehabilitation sessions, and daily essential activities. By adjusting the pricing structure, RideSenior aims to support more seniors in maintaining independence while ensuring peace of mind for their loved ones.

Under the new pricing structure, short trips are now more affordable, starting at $35 for 0–5 km and $45 for 5–10 km, making it easier for seniors to book quick and necessary rides within their local communities. For longer trips, pricing remains fair and scalable, with $2.00/km for 10–30 km, $1.50/km for 30–80 km, and $1.20/km for trips over 80 km, ensuring cost efficiency for extended travel.

RideSenior continues to prioritize accessibility. Walker assistance remains completely free, reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity. For clients requiring additional support, wheelchair assistance and other assistance services are available at $15, ensuring that seniors with different mobility needs can travel safely and comfortably.

Waiting time has also been structured to be simple and reasonable. The first 30 minutes are free, followed by $10 per 30 minutes, with a maximum waiting fee capped at $40, allowing families to better plan for appointments without unexpected costs.

Additionally, RideSenior offers optional equipment rentals, including wheelchairs at $10/hour and mobility scooters at $20/hour, providing flexibility for clients who may need temporary support during their trip. In Vancouver, British Columbia, a 12% BC tax will apply as per provincial regulations.

This updated pricing model reflects RideSenior’s long-term vision: to become a trusted, accessible transportation solution dedicated to seniors. By lowering costs and simplifying pricing, RideSenior hopes to serve a broader community, including seniors who may have previously found transportation services difficult to access due to pricing concerns.

At its core, this change is not just about pricing, it is about expanding access, improving quality of life, and ensuring that every senior has the ability to travel safely and with dignity.

The updated RideSenior pricing structure will be officially applied starting April 25, 2026, and RideSenior looks forward to continuing to serve seniors and families with greater accessibility and care.
