My journey did not begin in transportation, nor did I originally imagine myself building a mobility service dedicated to seniors. My career began by working directly with people, eventually leading me to establish TapLook, a mobile personal care brand serving older adults in their homes, retirement residences, hospitals, and care communities. What started as providing beauty and grooming services soon became something much more meaningful, a unique opportunity to understand the everyday realities of aging.

Through TapLook, I spent countless hours visiting seniors across different communities. These visits were never simply appointments. They became moments of conversation, trust, and genuine human connection. Seniors shared their life stories, their families, their concerns, and the challenges they quietly faced every day. As I listened, I realized that many of the biggest obstacles in their lives had nothing to do with personal care. Instead, they centered around mobility, independence, and staying connected to the world around them.

Many seniors wanted nothing more than to attend a medical appointment, buy groceries, visit friends, participate in community activities, or simply enjoy lunch with family. Yet these ordinary activities often became difficult because transportation was no longer easy or reliable. Adult children frequently lived in different cities or balanced demanding careers and family responsibilities, while many seniors hesitated to ask for help because they did not want to feel like a burden.

As I listened to these stories, I realized that transportation represented much more than mobility. It represented independence, dignity, confidence, and freedom. Without reliable transportation, seniors gradually became isolated from healthcare, community activities, social relationships, and many of the experiences that give everyday life meaning.

Although ride-sharing platforms had become popular, they were rarely designed around the unique needs of older adults. Many seniors were uncomfortable using smartphone applications, while families often worried whether drivers would understand mobility limitations or provide the patience and assistance older adults sometimes require. Transportation frequently became another source of anxiety instead of peace of mind.

These experiences, first witnessed through my work with TapLook, stayed with me long after each visit ended. I realized there was an opportunity to build something specifically for seniors, a transportation service created around compassion rather than convenience alone.

That vision became RideSenior.

RideSenior was founded with one clear purpose: to help older adults travel safely, comfortably, and confidently while giving families complete peace of mind. Every aspect of the service was designed around the needs of seniors, emphasizing reliability, respectful communication, professional service, and genuine human care. From the very beginning, RideSenior focused on creating an experience where seniors would feel supported rather than rushed, respected rather than overlooked.

The first rides began in Edmonton. It quickly became clear that the need extended far beyond one community. Every completed trip demonstrated how meaningful reliable transportation could be. Seniors arrived at medical appointments with less stress. They maintained social connections with family and friends. They continued participating in community life. Families gained confidence knowing their loved ones were being supported by people who genuinely cared about their well-being.

As RideSenior continued to grow, another important realization emerged. Transportation alone could not address every challenge seniors face. Many older adults also needed trusted, non-medical support with companionship, grocery shopping, errands, technology assistance, meal preparation, and other practical daily living needs.

This understanding led to the development of Baba, a companion brand dedicated to non-medical senior support services. While RideSenior focuses on helping seniors travel safely throughout their communities, Baba provides practical everyday assistance that helps older adults remain independent at home and continue living with dignity and confidence.

Today, TapLook, RideSenior, and Baba work together as complementary brands, each serving a different aspect of independent aging. TapLook helps seniors maintain confidence and personal well-being through professional mobile beauty and grooming services. RideSenior provides safe, senior-focused transportation for medical appointments and everyday travel. Baba delivers compassionate, non-medical support that assists seniors with daily living. Together, they form a connected ecosystem with one shared mission: helping older adults live independently, safely, and with dignity for as long as possible.
